Accessibility Policy

The Office of the New York State Attorney General (OAG) will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities in accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA).  For more information regarding our ADA policy, please see the OAG’s Notice Under the Americans With Disabilities Act

OAG events

If you have a disability and wish to participate in an OAG program, you can request appropriate aids and services. Our office generally provides communication aids and services on request to allow people to participate in OAG programs, services, and activities. Accommodations include sign language interpreters, documents in Braille, and help for those with speech, hearing, or vision impairments, along with other accommodations covered under title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA).

Our office makes reasonable modifications to policies and programs to ensure that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to enjoy all of our programs, services, and activities. If you require aids or services, or a modification of policies or procedures, to participate in an OAG program, service, or activity, contact the ADA administrator as soon as possible. Please try to make your request at least 48 hours before the scheduled event.

Our office is committed to accommodating all reasonable requests. However, we are not required under the ADA to make changes that would significantly alter our programs or services or cause major financial or administrative burdens.
